In 1966, Green Giant introduced to Taiwan its advanced agricultural processes developed in the USA. The team led the movement in coaching Taiwan-based factories to produce higher quality canned and frozen foods (including mushrooms, asparagus, bamboo shoots, peas, and shrimps) exported to the USA. As a result, a handful of talented food science professionals were developed, and they continued to improve Taiwan’s agricultural processing standards in their respective roles within the Council of Agriculture Taiwan, BSMI (Bureau of Standard Metrology and Inspection), food research labs and other key bodies in the industry.
However, with the rise of production costs in Taiwan meant that many factories in Taiwan have lost their competitive edge in the export market for agricultural products. Green Giant began developing new food sources from factories in Southeast Asia and China.
July 13th, 1988 the Green Giant team in Taiwan founded “SCS Associated Co., Ltd” and began importing foods that are produced by Green Giant’s cooperative and approved factories in Southeast Asia and China to Taiwan market.
Our own brand is “Supreme”.
Based on good source and supplier management, SCS has been supplying good quality fruit and vegetables in both canned and frozen formats, and provide to big scale and famous Brand food manufacturers / Convenient stores and food service chains in Taiwan for nearly three decades.
To realize its vision to see more natural, healthy food products becoming pantry staples, SCS created its own biotechnology department in 2008. Its focus is to understand the health properties of everyday food items and develop core ingredients for health products that produce maximum performance.
The core of SCS’s purpose and management values has been and will always be for the betterment of human health. For the next 10 years, SCS will continue to seek fruit and plant-based ingredients – rich in nutrients, vitamins, minerals, and microelements – and their applications in the human diet to achieve anti-oxidation and anti-aging results at their full potential.
